The rhythm of salsa is a universal language that communicates without interpretation at concerts and events throughout the world.
It is with this philosophy that on Friday and Saturday evenings, 26 & 27 April 2019,
San Felipe will host the 1st Annual Salsa, Tequila & Wine Festival on the beachfront Malecon.

This new and exciting event will feature live musical performances and dancers of Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, and Bachata. The headline performer is Machito Ruiz and his orchestra from Tijuana. We will also be featuring the music of Azucar Cubana and Dinamita En Show.

The festival is free to the public and will provide a new source of entertainment to the residents of San Felipe and attract aficionados of Salsa, Tequila and Wine to discover and visit San Felipe.

The timing of the event is perfect since not only is the weather ideal, but there are 2 other significant events in San Felipe on the same weekend as the Festival: The 10th Annual D’Andre & Friends Golf Tournament is at Las Caras de Mexico golf course at La Ventana del Mar in San Felipe – and – the NORRA Mexican 1000 Offroad Race stops in San Felipe on Sunday, 28th April 2019. We anticipate many visitors in San Felipe for these 3 events.

The Festival has been originated and sponsored by The Sweet Spot Bar & Grill (Sea, Sun and Soul S.A. de C.V.) in San Felipe and has the support of the San Felipe Cotuco and local Office of Tourism.

We enthusiastically invite the participation and support of local wineries from the Ensenada region, Tequila distributors, and also exhibitors / vendors from San Felipe, Rosarito, Ensenada, Mexicali, Algodones and San Luis who offer culinary delights, Mexican leather crafts, original artwork, regional clothing, jewelry, metal works, pottery and other items of interest.

The net proceeds of the festival will benefit our local civic non-profit organizations that rely on donations for their good works in San Felipe. Casa Digna S.F. de A.C. has been designated as the principal beneficiary of this event. A relatively new organization, Casa Digna uses recycled materials to build quality, easily sustainable and long lasting houses for vulnerable indigenous families and, through construction, they create employment for local residents. Detailed information of this project is available at www.CasaDignasfac.com.

***CASA DIGNA staff will be onsite during the festival on both days with information regarding their project.***
